Last updated 19 August 2026
Waterfront Golf Ventures Pty Ltd (ABN 24 701 178 814) (we, us, our) respects your privacy. This policy explains how we handle personal information in connection with this website, and is written to comply with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).
1.Scope of this policy
This website is a pre-launch information page. The only personal information we collect through it is an email address, if you choose to give us one. This policy covers that website activity.
When our event opens to the public we will collect further information from participants (for example, at the point of ticketing or registration). We will publish an updated policy covering that activity before it begins.
2.What we collect
- Your email address, if you submit it through the “register your interest” form.
- Technical information generated automatically when you visit, such as your IP address, browser type, referring page and the time of your visit. This is logged by our hosting provider as a normal part of serving and securing the site.
We do not collect sensitive information (as defined in the Privacy Act) through this website, and we do not ask for your name, phone number, address or payment details.
3.Why we collect it, and how we use it
We use your email address for one purpose only:
- to notify you when our event is announced — including the location, opening dates and how to book.
We use technical information to operate, secure and improve the site, and to detect automated abuse of the sign-up form.
We do not sell, rent or trade your personal information. We will not add you to unrelated marketing, and we will not pass your address to third parties for their own marketing.
4.Consent and direct marketing
By submitting the form you consent to us sending you commercial electronic messages about the launch of our event, consistent with the Spam Act 2003 (Cth). Every message we send will identify us and include a functional unsubscribe facility.
You can withdraw your consent at any time, either by using the unsubscribe link in any message or by emailing us at contact@harbourshot.com.au. We will action the request promptly and in any case within the time required by law.
5.Who we disclose it to
We disclose personal information only to service providers who help us run this website, and only so far as they need it for that purpose:
- Vercel Inc. — website hosting and content delivery.
- Supabase Inc. — the database in which sign-up addresses are stored.
We may also disclose information where we are required or authorised to do so by law.
6.Overseas disclosure
Our service providers operate global infrastructure, and your information may be stored or processed on servers located outside Australia, including in the United States, Singapore, Japan and the European Union. We take reasonable steps to ensure that any overseas recipient handles your information in a way consistent with the Australian Privacy Principles.
7.How we protect it
Sign-up addresses are held in an access-controlled database. The database is configured so that the list cannot be read from a web browser — the public website can add an address but cannot retrieve, list or alter what is stored. Data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS).
No method of transmission or storage is completely secure. While we take reasonable steps to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security.
8.How long we keep it
We keep your email address until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete it, or until we decide not to proceed with the event — whichever happens first. When information is no longer needed for the purpose it was collected, and we are not required by law to retain it, we destroy or de-identify it.
9.Accessing and correcting your information
You may ask us for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, or ask us to correct it, by emailing contact@harbourshot.com.au. We will respond within a reasonable period. We may need to verify your identity first. If we refuse a request, we will tell you why in writing.
10.Cookies and analytics
This website does not use advertising or tracking cookies, and does not run third-party advertising trackers. If we introduce analytics in future we will update this policy before doing so.
11.Complaints
If you believe we have breached the Australian Privacy Principles, please contact us first at contact@harbourshot.com.au or by post at 23 Pelican Street, Surry Hills NSW 2010, Australia. We will acknowledge your complaint and investigate it, and aim to respond within 30 days.
If you are not satisfied with our response, you may complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at oaic.gov.au or on 1300 363 992.
12.Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. The current version is always the one published on this page, and the “last updated” date at the top shows when it last changed.
